Increasingly elderly population maintains physical and leisure activities despite is age. Therefore surgical treatments of the hip must be non-limiting. These patients must be submitted to a rehabilitation program after surgery, and progressively perform activities that were common before, namely driving, sports and sexual activities. The physician should advise their patients on what they may or may not do in the postoperative phase to prevent a possible dislocation of the prosthesis. The success of rehabilitation on hip replacement surgery depends mainly on the patient himself, and the role of the multidisciplinary team is fundamental to guide him in all the process.
